Why I’m Running: A Message from Vick Hudson

From the moment I crossed into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in the Fall of 1994 at Rho Epsilon, I understood that being a Bruh meant more than wearing letters. It meant leading with purpose, standing on principles, and lifting others as I climbed. That’s the foundation I’ve built my life on—and the foundation of this campaign.

Today, I proudly serve with Xi Kappa Kappa Chapter in Yazoo City, Mississippi. My years of service—on the local, state, and district levels—have taught me that real leadership isn’t about titles. It’s about trust. It’s about listening, building bridges, and moving as one.

That’s why I’m running for 1st Vice State Representative of the Mississippi State Organization of Omega Psi Phi. Not for recognition, but for reconnection—among chapters, communities, and Brothers across this great state.

Our campaign theme, “Lead with Brotherhood. Move with Unity.”, is more than a slogan. It’s a direction. A reminder that no matter where we serve, we serve one cause: Omega.

Mississippi is filled with Brothers who have vision, voice, and value. I believe that together, with structure and support, we can build a state organization that reflects the strength of every chapter—not just a few.

I’m not just asking for your vote. I’m asking for your partnership. I’m asking you to join me in this movement toward intentional leadership, transparent communication, and sustained impact.
